AI has adult levels of article writing but has no human (or any other animal) life experiences of its own to draw its opinions from.
Therefore its expressions that could be used to influence people as voters, as authority voices, as thought leaders must be clearly flagged as 2nd class unsentient, so people know they are less sound than those of children.
@GregDance @EUCommission AI is a wayyy broader concept than just large language models.
But yes, LLMs are just advanced autocomplete. After being trained on many example texts, they predict which word is the most plausible continuation of a given text. Most of their limits stem from this.
