In Mongolia today, international law was disregarded as war criminal Putin was not arrested. This marks his first visit to a state party to the Rome Statute of the ICC that ignored the warrant for his arrest for crimes in Ukraine.

"Small" Mongolia being stuck between these 2 big imperialist dictatorships that are China and Russia, I can understand that it does not feel up to arresting Putin.

BUT in this case: why agreeing to him coming in the first place, then?
I mean, last year South-Africa managed to make Russia understand it wouldn't be a good idea for Putin to come to their country; in doing so they dodged an uncomfortable situation for everyone involved.
Why didn't Mongolia refuse this visit weeks ago?
