In today’s connected world it is nearly impossible to purchase a secure smartphone that is made in America.
As a matter of fact the most popular smartphones on the market are made overseas such as the Apple iPhone and Samsung Galaxy smartphones.

@purism If I did not trust my government to spy on me - and that is always the threat; governments don't care about tracking citizens of other countries - why would I buy a phone made in my own country? A government has more influence to wield over domestic producers than it does one in another country.
If I needed a secure phone I would certainly buy the Chinese made Librem 5 phones. I really don't care if the CCP knows the intimate details of my life. I DO care that my own government would.
