Did anybody get the microphones of their #pinebuds running (so that you speak into the pinebuds on a call, not into your phones microphones)? did not work for me on the #librem5 and i wonder if its the phone or the buds. now that i am running #pmos on a #oneplus6t and calls audio is in general a bit more tricky here;) @PINE64 #linuxmobile
@MissBehave @PINE64 Issues is not the pinebuds. Callaudio is surprisingly difficult thing. afaik no one has not implemented bluetooth callaudio in mainline linux - there is one wip kind-of-working thing with PP/PPP where Biktorgj made some hacky changes to Calls, UCM files and callaudiod.
@alaraajavamma @MissBehave @PINE64 BT call audio worked for ages on the Librem 5 (with SparkLAN card - Redpine does not support HSP, which is a bit of a hurdle 😜).
@dos @MissBehave @PINE64 With SIP calls right? Because the tricky part is normal calls where the audio needs to go trough modem - afaik that never worked?
@alaraajavamma @MissBehave @PINE64 No, with normal cellular calls. In fact, there's no difference on Librem 5, as modem's audio is just another digital audio interface seen by ALSA.
@alaraajavamma @MissBehave @PINE64 You may have to load module-bluetooth-policy in PulseAudio to have it switch to HSP automatically - but you can also switch manually in the settings. Otherwise - yep, as long as you can connect to your Bluetooth device it should just work.
