Librem 5 help
Help! My #Librem5 won't switch on. I've tried following the Recharging Procedure (https://docs.puri.sm/Librem_5/Troubleshooting/Charging.html#evergreen) but the indicator light never comes on.

@greytheearthling Take the battery out and try plugging it in with various power sources (USB-C PD, USB-A to C cable) and both USB-C plug orientations. Wait a few seconds after plugging in and look for any signs of life from the indicator LED.

@dos Thanks. I've tried 3 different cables (the Purism-provided USB-C and mains adapter; USB-A to C via a different mains adapter; USB-A to C from the laptop) both ways round, with and without the battery, with and without holding Volume Up. No light :(

@greytheearthling Check the voltage on the battery +/- pads, if it's flat then maybe it could still boot once you get it charged externally - but I'm afraid something is really broken there, either TPS65982 or BQ25895 :/

@dos I don't think it's just the battery: yesterday morning the battery was totally discharged and the phone wouldn't switch on, but I did the Recharging Procedure and it started charging — even without the battery; but today that isn't working.
I don't know what those codes mean.
It's quite frustrating that the phone was working fine yesterday but now it's completely broken overnight while it was just sitting charging.
At this point I probably need to accept that I've lost all the unsynced data, and just buy a new phone.

@greytheearthling It's not "just the battery", but you may be able to boot it with a charged one. Something's physically wrong with the power path, the red LED would blink without any assistance from software or even CPU if it was actually getting powered.
The "codes" are chips, the first one is USB-C controller and the second is battery charger. Either one of them is broken, or the USB-C socket went bad. There's still a chance the battery power path is intact.

@dos Thanks. Yeah, I suspected it would be hardware, and realistically I'm not going to be able to get it fixed. New phone it is!
Thanks for your help!
