I’m genuinely glad that providers like @mullvadnet exist.
The new VPN loader is a solid technical step – fast, secure, well thought-out.

But honestly… isn’t there a risk of losing sight of what really matters?

I mostly use German servers – and more and more websites are blocked, restricted, or simply unusable. Even with DAITA or multi-hop. Access to the open web is being chipped away – isn’t that exactly what a VPN is supposed to protect us from?

I’ve contacted @mullvadnet about this several times – sadly without any real response or noticeable improvement.

Isn’t now the time to return to the core mission? Circumvent censorship. Enable access. Make the internet usable again.

Tech is important.
But so is digital freedom.

⛔ The online offers that block proxy server VPNs or IP address ranges 'per-se' should be avoided.

Either the server applications are inadequate or the administrators of these applications are incompetent.

Or one of the sources of their income is the alienation of personal usage information, which is therefore worth less.

So it's up to the websites or applications that make it easy for themselves at the expense of their users or accept the dissatisfaction of their users.
