There is no point in having your email at your academic web page as

"first name `dot` last name `at` whatever`".

The spammers will reach you anyway, and you are making academics' lives more difficult if they want to reach you.

(For example if you gave an interesting talk at a conference I attended and I wanted to discuss it further, or whatever academic reason.)

By obscuring your email in that way, the only thing you are achieving is to make academics to be less able and/or tempted to reach you.

The spammers will reach you anyway, no matter how hard you try to avoid them.

Just give your full academic email address, in your academic web page, if you want to be reachable by academics who may be interested in your work.

@MartinEscardo my organisation has a standard format. So as soon as I said I'm working for X on LinkedIn, I started to get spam emails!
