GPL violation musing
I'm not going to name names, but a new chip maker has released a chip that runs Linux, but requires an NDA to get the source code.
They don't release binaries, but they have a company that makes boards for the chip release binaries. The company now has to choose between violating the GPL or violating an NDA. What a shitty place to be.

GPL violation musing
@dean If you're asking if it's still illegal to not provide source for GPLv2 binaries, then yes. But that doesn't really matter as you can't force a company to provide source. Effort is better spent on getting the company to do it willingly.
