Wrote a little script about 3 years ago for work to notify users of passwords expiring(Windows AD) when they log in. Finally got approval to deploy from execs today. I've done a lot of tweaking to it over the last month, but it feels good to finally see the fruits of my labor. #IT #powershell #windows #activedirectory

We went with for a few reasons:
1. We hide all the little balloons from Windows 10 and there's no way to tell it not to hide the balloon about your password expiring.
2. We now have a ton of users with email on the work phones and they are getting locked out over the weekend when their password expires.
3. Boss didn't want to use email to inform because it looks too "phishy"
