Dutch scientists are making good progress developing salt-based #HeatBatteries.

The cool thing about this technology is that the heat can be stored indefinitely, and transported over longer distances to where it is needed.

This obviates the need for expensive and lossy piping systems, which can only carry the heat so far, and additionally become useless when the heat source goes away.

Thanks for this great information! I'm in contact with Cellcius now and hope that they can reach there goal to offer a solution for homes in 2026 - or even better faster than that.

It is a really good idea they had and I'd love to know how much a heat battery will cost to plan ahead.
