The Alpha-feature in on the does not support verification, yet, and didn't work reliably enough for me. I started testing gitlab.com/mx-moment/moment/ a fork of and found it working well so far.

Switched from to . Just great! Notifications work on the even though there are still problems with the sound themes. Seems to be stable and reliable for the first few days. The only thing I didn't find out, yet: Can't reach the context menu for messages (e.g. "reply" or "react" when using the touchscreen.

@chrichri atm i use #nheko most of the time - if i connected a keyboard #gomuks in the terminal is also a nice way to go... have you compared #Moment with nheko?

@scops I tried all I found on my desktop and got stuck with which now seems to be maintained as a fork called .

I really do not remember why I stopped using and preferred .

I guess both clients improved a lot since I first looked at them. Maybe really is the better option now.

Would be interesting how they compare in the aspect of ressource usage and integration (notification to phosh).

@chrichri @scops i switched also back from mirage to nheko and i was not using nheko because of missing e2ee support. now its a nice experience.

@chrichri Oh, don't worry, I can't tell you either. We haven't figured out yet how we want to expose that menu on mobile. If you have the touchscreen mode enabled though, you can at least reply by dragging the message to the side. And in theory long press should open a menu as well, but that is really borked on wayland.

@deepbluev7

Hey, thanks for help! I tried it on flatpak io.github.NhekoReborn.Nheko 0.9.3 and I could only move back and forth between messages list and room list.

If I move my finger to the left in a room there appears a border of empty space, but nothing more happens.

Is the feature already available in my version or is it not yet, released?

@chrichri Heh, it looks like we didn't release that yet. Guess I need to do a release somewhat soon then... (Alternatively, you can always use the nightlies, but they currently do a db migration, so you can't downgrade without logging out anymore at the moment. There is a flatpak nightly repo linked in the README.)

@deepbluev7

I didn't move to the nightly repo for the flatpak (yet), because I hoped for a release of featuring the new options to reply.

Any progress on this :) ?

@chrichri I'm still working on 2 features for the next release and then we'll start the bug fixing phase.
