You know what is great? Running a #Nextcloud instance from a #RockPro64 in your garage. Being able to access it from anywhere in the world, and knowing that you can share it with your family and get them off of the #Google heroin.

I haven't mentioned it for a while, but this is truly an #agorist style achievement and I am fairly proud of myself.

@herag

Out of interest and need to build some new nas soon:

Did you build it with an attached raid?

If so, which discs do you use, is it a software raid (which?) and which raid level?

@chrichri I did not... at least, not yet. I am waiting on the PCIe to SATA card to come back in stock at Pine64 before I rebuild the thing. It will be software raid as well. I should have bought that card whrn I got the RockPro, but I forgot.

@herag

I'm waiting for the audio/network add-on card for rock64 to be available again :).

@PINE64, any ETAs?

I'd be interested in your experience, since I'm thinking about using a or for building my next , also.

@chrichri @PINE64 Oh I wish I had known about the Quartz when I was planning mine. That looks like a neat board to tinker with. I know they will have the PCIe card in a week or two. Not sure about the other one. If you go to their website they have an email for sales that is very very responsive.

The RockPro is a pretty powerful device.

oh and I have a solar panel that I will be powering this stuff with as well. That will take some time though.
