I do not follow anyone on bluesky.

Bluesky is exactly what twitter was, a corporately owned psuedo-commons.

They will build it into a psuedo-commons until exactly that point they will take value from it.

I am astonished that so many otherwise interesting and intelligent people think that another centralized corporately owned psuedo-commons is where they should go.

I'm not mad at them. I'm embarrassed for them.

Thinking of Aaron Swartz today & I’m stuck on this photo - he & OpenAI CEO Sam Altman (both circled) each scraped 1000s of docs but one did it to make the knowledge free for all while the other did it to make $$$$ through probabilistic plagiarism. The US DOJ only came after one of them & the other is feted by tech bros and executives.
