Have you any plans to try out the nreal air glasses with your steamdeck? I was thinking of trying Red Steel 2 using a real wiimote on dolphin (android samsung flip 4) or cod Black ops. If the wiimote works would this be the best portable gaming system ever, or what?

@gardiner_bryant
Just a quick question. One of my workmates has bought a new laptop all AMD 6900hx but I've been pushing him to use steamos 3.4 (holoiso) since it'll run sweeeeet AF. Do you have any experience with steamos other than on the steamdeck? Any anecdotes or game fps to push him over the edge, and far far away from Win11. Cheers

I just went to invidious to see what's trending on YouTube, I'm not surprised YT is failing and folk are moving to share.tube and other open platforms.

Would running iTunes in Windows on the keep you warm enough while camping in the snow?

My internal monologue is usually just a really eclectic playlist in my head all day, so I've figured some things out.
= Perfect by Princess Superstar
= Better the devil you know by Kylie Minogue
= I'm too sexy by Right said Fred
= Dr Evil by They might be giants
................hummmm
I cant figure a song that could represent the crappyness of windows. Anybody got some ideas?

I'm ashamed to admit that I've not played Super Tux Kart for ages, so I put it on my Android Samsung A7Lite. Played it on novice and though it was a bit crappy, so I jumped straight to SuperTux mode and just had my ass handed to me by all 7 other racers. Maybe I should RTFM before getting too cocky

If anyone has had an update to their lately, have you any problems taking screenshots? Maybe I just buggered it up by accident but the Vol- and Power button combo doesn't seem to work any more. Any Ideas on how to get it working again? Cheers

I've had a few problems with Fedilab which I installed from googles play store when I was on dry land, (2weeks ago) then it just stopped working altogether. I've got Fedilab Lite from f-droid and it works fine. I'm not sure if there is more to Googles Fu*kery with the hate speech thing than I first thought, ie not just installation problems.
Anyway... Toot tooooooot lol

I'm fed up closing sites who say

"We respect your privacy but plan on installing a data hoarding server on your device anyway, to continue using our site you must

a: Agree

b: Agree and look at some of the stuff we're scanning.

c: Agree and possibly sign over rights to your lungs and spinal fluid

d: Agree and submit that I AM NOT AN INDUVIDUAL, I AM NUMBER 6"

I can't get over this boxy goodness

I can't explain what it is exactly, but something about the Lada Riva just strikes me the right way

Every one of my car-nut friends feel completely the opposite way. But I like it for its flaws too. It's held together by a few screws and duct tape, you can fix it with chewing gum and hope, and the skin is made of depleted Uranium (really, really, really thick steel)

But this particular one, the 2107, and this color just seems so perfect to me

My brother is a Daughter Craft Coxswain/Able Bodied Seaman based on a on a lifeboat hospital ship (that's my term for it).

The Covid-19 escalation and global lockdowns all happened a good while after he had originally set sail. The crew are all fine and are now half way through their second stint, in a row, offshore, after being asked to stay on.
Huge respect for everyone aboard the ship.

He just sent these photos. The first is the biggest floating crane in the world, which came by earlier. The second shows the crane lining up with an oil platform that, itself, holds up to 400 people over five stories. This thing is big. He described it as being as big as was our high school!

I'm using mint and can run no problem, with 4 which is quite old now. I don't know why anyone would use windows. Am I missing something (like a vital patch from that bricks my machine) coz this runs sweet as a nut!
BTW Winamp 5.56 is still the best music player ever.

Family of 5 Living Off-Grid | BOAT ACCESS ONLY

🌐 youtube.com/watch?v=dxEmvjx3Uh

Mark and Chera rescued and renovated an old cabin and transformed it into an epic off-grid home for their family of 5. The catch? There's no road to get there, so they had to figure out how to do absolutely everything by boat and barge: transporting building materials, equipment, belongings, workers, as well as commuting to and from town for school and work.

They were limited in how much they could modify the existing cabin, so to make space for the kids' bedrooms, they attached a yurt to the house with a mudroom. For heat, they have a wood stove in the house, a pellet stove in the yurt (to keep a constant temperature for the kids), and backup wall-mount propane heaters for really cold days, or times when they're away from the house during winter (to prevent pipes from freezing). Since propane has to be delivered on a barge, it's really expensive so they try to limit their propane use as much as possible.

For electricity, they have 3 systems. First, a solar power system with 18 panels and a large battery bank which works great in the summer even though they're surrounded by mountains. But during the colder, rainier months, the system doesn't keep everything running so they installed a hydro turbine which creates electricity using water pressure from a creek up the hill, and this provides 24 hour electricity for most of the year. As a backup to these two systems, they have a propane generator but they try not to use it unless they need to.

The kids still attend school in town, and Mark and Chera have flexible jobs so they can work in town or from home as needed. They have 2 enclosed boats with GPS and heat for the 20 minute commute back and forth to town.
