@jelly Nice! I remember that upower maintainers rejected the idea of *writing* values (rather than just reading them from /sys). Has that changed?
@agx I think so, it already can set the brightness of keyboard backlight by writing to sysfs. So adding this should not be an issue. (famous last words)
