As the season of aggressive weight loss marketing approaches, I want to remind everyone that someone's making money by making yourself feel bad about yourself, and also share the story my friend told me of how she got a #ThighGap: she tore her kneecap off falling off a balcony and had to have the muscle from her inner thigh stripped out and transplanted to reattach it. I defy anyone to find a thigh gap aspirational after hearing that.
