@witchescauldron do you think we can start uploading docs. to or or this will at least create a & archive. I see an urgent need to &

@adinfinitum @adinfinitum #dotcons always bait and switch'dont have not got the bandwidth both mental or practical at moment to move. Just keeping things ticking over, we need some more sys-admins for the instance installs at mo.

@adinfinitum @adinfinitum so its pritty easey to move? lets do it when i can stop the boat for a few days with good wifi. made you admin for actavisam.

@adinfinitum @adinfinitum Have a few days tied to land, how easey do you think it would be to move the github?

@witchescauldron @adinfinitum firstly, which type are you wishing to deploy? @xj9 uses while most folks use

@adinfinitum @witchescauldron @adinfinitum

i’m actually in the process of migrating to http://sr.ht (hosted on ssg infrastructure) to keep a similar minimalist feel, but with a more complete toolchain.

idk how many people are on the development mailing list so a lot of people might have missed the announcement. i’ll try to get a project account up for that purpose in the future. the tiny subversions rss bot has a lot of annoying behavior that i can’t live with 😂
@adinfinitum @witchescauldron @adinfinitum

y’all are welcome to use coop net resources. that’s what they are for. membership options will come online in the near future

draft pricing: https://sunshinegardens.org/services/

a lot of this is subject to change, but the plan is to create a cooperative (which i'm in the process of formally incorporating) that provides technical infrastructure for aligned individuals and groups/organizations. somewhat specifically: email, chat (xmpp), devops (sr.ht), git hosting (sr.ht), social (pleroma), &c.

everything open source. once we have some legs under us, we plan to contribute heavily to all of the systems that we use to provide service *and* develop new libre clients and tools to fill in any gaps.
@adinfinitum @adinfinitum @witchescauldron

depending on the situation, we *may* be able to arrange free hosting for some orgs, but it is a difficult line because it does cost real money to operate the system. which is why the current membership pricing is mostly oriented towards individuals (and because it makes more sense from a cooperative standpoint)

@xj9
Yes of course, there is a cost for all things!
I meant more about the coop!

what specifically? that's the business model, which is a vehicle for funding current and future walkaway and solarpunk projects. if we are successful enough, we want to hire worker-members from the community to help move things along more quickly.
@adinfinitum @adinfinitum @witchescauldron

yeah pretty much. we want to branch into other areas (mutual aid networks, housing, and research), but this is the best way i can see to get started.

@witchescauldron @adinfinitum
secondly, does #omn wish to #selfhost ?? if so, i believe #git is the lightweight option.
but maybe to solve the #geekproblem a more user-friendly #frontend #ui is better? eg. framagit.org/disroot?sort=crea
