After 18 years at Red Hat, it’s time to move on. Tomorrow, July 4 is JRuby’s Independence Day! I’m going to need your help to keep the JRuby project going. Sign up for a sponsorship or contact me about commercial support today. JRuby needs you and so do I! ❤️

@headius An end to an era! I miss the old Red Hat/JBoss team that would have taken on these sorts of investment for the betterment of the wider JVM ecosystem.
I bet it will turn out for the better. When Red Hat laid off the OptaPlanner developer, he was able to successfully turn it around into a successful company. Tip: just add AI all over your company page and then reap the success 😉

@adilarif Yes, one of my biggest regrets was not embracing the work on Torquebox soon enough to keep it from fading out and losing funding. Thankfully there are still dozens of major JRuby users who have benefited for years and they are interested in sponsorships and support subscriptions. And don't think I haven't considered plastering AI all over JRuby marketing materials! There's actually a very strong case for Ruby AI using JRuby and JVM libraries!
