Something a bit different today...

There's a really nice Fediverse admin on here called @stux who provides lots of free decentralised public services (public instances of Mastodon, PeerTube, Pixelfed, Matrix, Nitter, Invidious, Searx etc).

Stux is spending hundreds of euros a month so that these services remain free and operational.

Apparently Stux has had a tough time finding work recently, but has their own small business which provides web hosting.

If you're looking for a small indie hosting provider, this might be a really good choice as the money raised will help keep the Fedi going too:

One of my favorite jokes is about a socialist who's just joined a nudist colony. He sits down next to someone and tries to strike up a conversation: "So, have you read Marx?"

I've been able to get my hands on the #TruthSocial source code (they do have a link to it on their website, although their website is not accessible to me).

They have disabled federation features. I absolutely expected that, just confirming it for others. It is just another walled garden.

Veloren is a FOSS open world multiplayer RPG, sort of like a cross between Breath Of The Wild and Minecraft. You can follow the official account at:
