@jerry @varx do the people have accounts on infosec.exchange? Because the person to talk to about bird.markup is @vincent - he could actually disable the accounts at source.
For what it’s worth, I use it for a fair number of accounts, to follow the “twitters” that aren’t likely to migrate anytime soon. In particular the local Toronto politics cluster. It’s a novel service.
@realn2s @mikemacleod @jerry @varx What happened with infosec.exchange? I’m a bit out of the loop here
Adding a link to the fediverse profile in bird.makeup is something I want to add soon! It will probably be VIP only at first for accounts with lots of followers because of the manual curation it requires
@vincent @mikemacleod @jerry @varx
There seem to be a lot of people who request their own Twitter accounts (served through bird.makeup) to be blocked on InfoSec.exchange
@jerry said something around 700
He is considering to block bird.makeup as a whole (which i would regret)
I'm not sure if it is because of a misunderstanding by the users, seeing bird.makup as an impersonator?
Generally i would be happy to follow people on their Mastodon account and wondered if it could be a feature of bird.makeup to redirect it the account owner requests it?
@vincent
Heads up. Infosec.exchange is currently under a ddos attack. So people from there might not be able to reply. Especially when they are operating the systems like Jerry
