I’m currently without central heating*, so I’ve had the stove going all day and my does it (ahem) burn through wood.
How long before bed time do I need to keep it going for to avoid either being chilly or wasting heat, do people think? I will chuck a couple of (supposedly) six hour bricks on before bed, if only because I never use them and want to stop them cluttering the place up.
*Planned. My boiler’s had a dodgy valve for a year or so, and the last but one time it stuck the Nice Young Man checked and parts are no longer available. It’s stuck again, this time in the “iffy hot water” position, so I decided to bite the bullet (and the interest free credit) and get it replaced now rather than saving up to get it done next year.
@vbhide I have a very loud CO alarm, for this reason.
