I need some help going from #postmarketos on a #oneplus6 to either stock Oxygen OS or directly to e/OS. I have tried to boot #twrp through fastboot boot twrp.img, but phone always goes into fastboot mode and not twrp.
I have spent hours browsing the web for a solution, but so far found nothing that helped. No problem getting back to postmarketos after doing fastboot erase etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Prepared most of the Demo devices for tomorrows Embedded Software Meetup in #zurich . @devrtz and me will give a session about #linuxmobile, #mobian and #debian - Feel free to join us at Gardena, digitalhub.
It seems now that I need to swipe up from the bottom left of the screen, but that unfortunately blocks app bar switching to the left most app.
I used to be able to invoke OSK in non GTK apps in #gnome by swiping up from the bottom of the screen. That seems to have changed since 47.2? I am running Gnome on my Starlite V tablet. Does anyone know how to do this in the latest Gnome shell?

Today a couple approached me while I was finishing taking 360° photos for #OpenStreetMap to ask if I was doing cartography. They were surprised to learn than I was not being paid! We talked for several minutes about OSM, and they asked a lot of questions about where to access it and what apps to use. I showed them @organicmaps and how they could use it to find details like water fountains and bike parking, which aren't present in Google Maps. They were so excited!
This is why I do the work. 🙂
@wannoye @tomasoqvist Yes. I can confirm this, the update fixed the sound when calling and receiving calls. I hope it will stay like this. 🙏️
I started regularly donating about a year ago. I am now supporting 8 different projects with 20,77€ per month, and it didn't hurt at all.
Why pay for something free? Because free software only exists because other people already paid for it. Someone has to do it. It's time to do your part!
If you can afford a subscription service, then you probably can afford a little donation, too. Start with 0.1% of your income.

@tomasoqvist I cannot recall when was the last time I had no issues with the sound during the calls. Didn't tried to use #telegram for calls but I'll try later, but as there is no sound when testing it from settings, I presume that it will also not work. Also, I have a POCO F1 running #phosh (same SoC as #oneplus6) laying around and I will test on it as soon as it charges a little (didn't use it for a while).
Apparently, the market share of Linux on desktop in Norway is 18%. I have to stop buying so many computers. https://gs.statcounter.com/os-market-share/desktop/norway
I need some help adding info to this issue: https://gitlab.postmarketos.org/postmarketOS/pmaports/-/issues/3245 with #postmarketos edge on #oneplus6. The audio was working for a while, but since a couple of days the distorted audio is back. I have tried installing and uninstalling pipewire-alsa. Sometimes I can do one phone call with the audio ok, but the next call is distorted. I want to help troubleshooting, but I haven't been able to find any log files showing anything that seems related.
You asked for system services written in #Vala, and even on phones?
We present #q6meowd, a service for correctly switching between speaker and earpiece audio output on incoming calls by @NekoCWD :
meowd: https://gitlab.postmarketos.org/NekoCWD/q6meowd/-/blob/master/src/main.vala
#postmarketos MR: https://gitlab.postmarketos.org/postmarketOS/pmaports/-/merge_requests/5738
Previously the logic was written in #C, so isn't this an improvement? :D
Also if you are interested in how to write #ALSA and #DBUS code with Vala, I recommend looking into the sources!

I know #calls are marked as partial for #postmarketos on #oneplus6, but is has run without issues for me for a long time until recently. Suddenly, I am frequently not getting any audio in Calls, while my counterpart can hear me, on v24.06 stable. On Edge, I get distorted audio most of the time.
I just wonder what happened and what I should look for to troubleshoot?
