I guess I stand with @Jacob_Frey@twitter.com now. Politicians should explain what their policy is & why. They should listen to alternatives but not change their position unless they've truly had their mind changed, not cause they fear being unpopular or losing an election. #BlackLivesMatter

@wjmaggos Unfortunately believing in things and taking firm positions is antithetical to being a good politician. It's also why good leadership is such a rare thing among politicians and the political class more broadly.
