I did early voting. I also ended up picking a candidate that I later found out was arrested for heroin. Moral of the story, check for news on your candidate before you vote.

@mewmew@blob.cat Ok, I'm gonna drop a link, but I feel I need to preface it and explain my political evolution a bit since I haven't really talked about it in whole before on here. I grew up in a Republican house. So when I was old enough to vote that's what I registered as. Then I guess you could say I had a lot of things that changed my views drastically. I ended up probably closer to a Democrat at one point in my life. (There's a lot more to this story, but I'll explain later.) Now I've kind of expanded and shifted my views a bit. I'm not really a Republican anymore, but I've just procrastinated on changing my party affiliation. (Granted I'm not really a Democrat either at this point, I'm more of a centrist/soft-libertarian type at this point.)

I would say that is pretty funny (the guy getting arrested) but honestly it's just kinda sad.

@mewmew@blob.cat yeah. Not good. However I did read up on some good candidates on the Republican side after that. I hope they get nominated for the Republican option instead.

@milo @shadowferret I share more of my values with the Democratic party, but don't really like calling myself a Democrat (especially after 2016)

@milo @shadowferret I really don't like the DNC but imo the RNC is much worse. If we had an electoral system that didn't have the spoiler effect then I'd be voting Green in most elections.
