@cyber-hellscape@blob.cat A systematic problem requires a systematic solution. I would hope that some kind of arrangement can be made to keep both parties a float in the short term. @Grandtheftautism

@terryenglish @cyber-hellscape me too, and i think accommodations will be made, but only for those who at least make a token effort and demonstrate a willingness to pay.

@Grandtheftautism It depends on the situation. I'm sure most people would rather spend their dwindling savings on food rather than an empty gesture. @cyber-hellscape@blob.cat

@terryenglish @cyber-hellscape it depends on the situation im sure. Demonstrating a willingness to pay isn't an empty gesture though, legally it's a very meaningful one even if the actual amount is pitiful. If you're not going to be able to pay, call your creditors and inform them instead of dodging them, making the effort goes a long way.

File for bankruptcy if you have to, it fucks up your credit for a while but it stalls punishments for nonpayment, slows down interest, and eliminates some of worst consequences. Bankruptcy courts are going to be extra-lenient for a little while once they all reopen, i'm 99% sure of that.

@Grandtheftautism Maybe what you're saying would make sense under normal circumstances but not in these crazy, virus-riddled times. @cyber-hellscape@blob.cat
