Technically it's possible they might do something with Darth Raven, but I doubt it. The only reason I think they brought Thrawn in was because he fit close to the movies timeline. I don't see them going Old Republic era. They'll stick close to the existing movies, to milk them for all they're worth.

He was a much more dynamic and compelling character in the expanded universe books.

Haven't read much of Thrawn related books from the old Expanded Universe, so I can't tell if they did him justice. It didn't seem that bad to me.
