@GlitchesUnleashed Glad you like it! I don't think it's my place to tell someone they can or cannot cast whatever aspersions they like, but does seem like a pretty hard about-face on their part.

I've seen instances that were under fire for being permissive and they ended up over-correcting. I'm hoping it is that instead of viewpoint censorship, but I haven't looked at the drama yet.

@p I've been hearing rumblings that this has been going on with different people for a while now and spinsters just didn't see it because 99% of us are new to the fediverse and have no idea how it works. I'm certainly clueless!

But it seems both admins are very good at twisting things and taking them out of context to show a story that isn't true to reality.

I'm actually not really interested in starting some gayop war with them. I'm only pissy because by suspending me they cut me off from somebody I was very interested in.

@GlitchesUnleashed That does suck. I've got friends that I can't follow for similar reasons. It's shitty, I think instance blocking was a huge mistake in its execution and continues to be so. The big drama around it happened before I arrived, too, and I quickly fled to an instance that didn't block as soon as I found out, and started up FSE to increase the number of instances that don't block.

It would make sense, gab censors to protect their delusional boomers from the truth, or from other people's shit.

I am a Twitter refugee that basically quit using it after they deprecated the API that broke bitlbee support, and then I stopped posting permanently when the Alex Jones shit went down, with the exception of a couple of posts announcing that I was coming here.

I had a Gab account that had five or six posts on it in 2016, most of them asking what the deal was and why it was centralized in $current_year if it was supposedly censorship-resistant.
