Brief upgrade. We have thread-muting and search in Pleroma-FE now. The patch that made hellthreads crash the server has been reverted.
Update on the outage: a lot of suspicions didn't pan out, I'm gonna think a while. We did have several times the usual traffic, and we had some attempts to exploit the server, but that's nothing unusual. There were several IP addresses that tried to fetch hellthreads repeatedly, but it's hard to say whether that was an attack or normal traffic. Couldn't find too many things that I could point to and say they were definitely attacks of some sort. On the other hand, keeping it up for eight hours, that's suspicious. At present, all I've got is suspicion, so I'll be looking into it more later.

The pedophiles are attempting to encode and rebrand themselves. Probably in preparation for inserting themselves (no pun intended) into the LGBTQ community and using it as a trojan horse for their degeneracy.
