@ItsJenNotGabby It is unfortunate that the Republican party in the US obsesses over social non-issues. It's so distract from their abysmal economic policies that rob the middle and lower classes. He is however entitled to his idea of what he wants out of a relationship.

@ItsJenNotGabby Perhaps I misunderstood things, but it appeared to me that you were condemning him for being somewhat closed minded while at the same time discarding his perspective. Being intolerant of other points of view is not unique to any side of the political spectrum. I say this as someone who happens to agree with you btw, that you should be free to be in a relationship without having children. That's what's great about the times we live in is that people are free to choose.
