An insurance co. refused cash payment on a new policy. So I went to an agent but they also refused cash. When I said “my shitty ‘bank’ wants to force me to run their dodgy closed source app on my phone”, the insurance agent was understanding & accepted the cash in exact amounts but then the agent had to pay from their own bank acct (just like cashless restaurants) #warOnCash

I generally #boycott cashless restaurants. But when I discover it’s a cashless restaurant /after/ ordering but before the food is served (pay 1st places), I find it interesting to insist on cash & test if one of the staff will buy my meal w/their personal bank card & accept my cash. So far the answer is yes. Of course once I know they’re cashless I do not return. #warOnCash

That's an interesting way to get certain restaurants to get back to cash

@societyoutcasts I’m not sure they keep metrics on it, but if you’re going to do that then be sure to have enough small money on you that you can pay the exact amount because the employee who proxies your payment won’t likely have the right change.
