@fsf Thanks for sharing. In my experience the sustainability question from others has been a real challenge. In the past its something I've really struggled to explain and I've unfortunately seen a lot of burnt out projects. Still this message lives on in ideas for others to carry forward. But I'm still trying to understand does free translate to desperately demanding donations? This answer is an area I want to try to better understand and help support. Are there further discussions to read?

@freeideas @fsf Devs need to start selling compiled binaries like does. Also officially packaged versions. Those who can't/won't pay are free to compile themselves or use unofficial versions packaged by third parties.

@rasheedahmed @fsf Thanks for sharing, I will look further into that structure. This is a complex topic as everyone's individual results will vary but surely its been discussed amongst people much greater and more experienced than myself. I'm looking to understand the sustainability plan for regenerative growth.
