Feeling a little visionary today, wouldn't it be nice if we had a dezentralised network of BIM providers?
There are a lot of BIM hosters around, but:
- You rely completely on them.
- If they are just providing a link, then you have to opt-in.
- None of them will ever be complete.
Wouldn't it be intresting for companies to participate on a network, where they can be the hoster? Something like the Fediverse, BIMiverse in this case.
@petrisch When I noticed the concept I knew we would need to make a call for a network. Sometimes the Economy is predictable.
@Toasterson of what i learned now i agree, its going to be a decentraliced network or it wont work. However we already have many 'doesn't really work like it should but is convenient enough and we live with it' so i'm not very positive right now...
@petrisch It's less about the fact that they can do the right thing. But people simply don't know how to do these things. The knowledge is not taught. We have to do it. Otherwie it wont happen.
