I have to say, divorcing your phone number from your phone in such a way that you have access to it from any device is fucking amazing. I broke my phone two days ago, it's completely unusable, and the replacement parts won't arrive until next week. However, I can still text and call from anything with a browser (and a mic) using a 100% open source stack on my end.
