If there has been "cryptic transmission" of #coronavirus in Washington State due to lack of testing, how is it that ER visits for Influenza-Like Illnesses (ILI) have DECREASED since January 1?
#COVID19 would present as ILI.

@avoiceofliberty cryptic transmission does not necessarily mean that the cryptic transmitters have flu like symptoms. Cryptic transmitters may not have any symptoms or very mild symptoms which doesn't warrant a ER visit.
@moose By and large even asymptomatic carriers eventually become symptomatic.
But if every case of cryptic transmission is a mild case not deserving of an ER visit, this disease is far less severe than advertised.
Either there is no cryptic transmission, or cryptic transmission is irrelevant.
@avoiceofliberty Only widespread testing and documentation of symptoms would answer this question. South Korea is doing this and the fatality rate is decreasing because mild cases are being identified. Some are saying that children could be transmitters.
