I'm not doing something like that unless I'm getting paid really generously for it. Is software development really like that nowadays: I don't know what any of that does, but when I press these buttons it sometimes gives me good results? 😌

That's sad! I've been dodging "Web development" quite masterfully for over a decade, but now I feel there is nothing else left. My last job was a management role so I didn't have to write a line of code — until I proposed feeding street names into libfann to improve "fuzziness" in geocoding, so it could fix all the typos… OMG I was pioneering NN-shit, wasn't I? 😱
I'm not against it — there are good uses, but this… when no one realises what the hell is going on drives me insane.
