OK so I made and flashed my own #FreeBSD custom boot logo onto my #ThinkPad and I think it looks OK. The photo doesn't do it justice. :freebsd:
Due to the popularity of my earlier toot above I'm wondering wether I should take a gamble and edit my blog post "Updating the BIOS and boot logo on a ThinkPad P14s running FreeBSD" ? This edit would include the LOGO.GIF file that I made, and for the more adventurous the Gimp template xcf that's suitable for a 1920x1080 screen. That way folk can swap out the logo and the text FreeBSD to whatever they please.
What do you all think ? Is it worth me going to jail for some trademark or copyright issue if I've stepped on some big corps toes ? 😜 #FreeBSD #RunBSD #ThinkPad

I'm kinda surprised very few people do this, it's really cool and in a lot of cases not that hard β€” most of my laptops have custom boot logos, and some phones too.
I have to admit though that with my Android phone positioning was kinda tricky because I wanted the firmware logo to match the boot animation and be in exact same place as it is in the wallpaper in running OS β€” took me the whole evening to make it perfect πŸ˜…
