Gotosocial is feature rich, written in Go, honk is minimalist, also in Go, snac2 is very minimal — in C, could probably run on your wristwatch.
Mitra is in Rust and looks good to me, but it would take a decent amount of hacking for me to make it run on PowerPC 🤪

@m0xee @nyanide GTS has developers who enforce signed fetch cancer and refuse contributions because you talked to a problematic person once.

I've heard good shit about snac2 for single user instances but idk how well it scales out. Tomato definitely loves Mitra too.
