@charlie_root Oh btw you might want to turn off automatic clock sync. That will buy you probably a few extra months before the incessant Windows daddy finger wagging starts. Though some browsers may refuse to connect to websites because "muh bad certs", which for Firefox at least I don't think there's a way around without building yourself. Something to keep in mind.

I dont usually connect it to the internet, but I have been doing it recently for convenience, but looks like I can't do that too much anymore.

Yeah, very temporarily, like postpone them till 2035 😏

Turning off the updates for good isn't such a good idea IMO — as it prevents Defender malware definition database from getting updated.

This isnt my main PC, I just use it for audio production, so its rarely connected to the internet.

True, you're less vulnerable this way, but you might want to connect an external drive to it or whatnot. There were all sorts of exploits: via autorun.inf, desktop.ini and thumbs.db, remember? With Windows you never know what to expect.
Keeping threats DB updated is still a good thing IMO, feature update indeed only make things worse at this point.

My biggest fear with updating to 11 is that Jeskola Buzz community edition will break. If anybody wants to test it in win11 I would really appreciate it.
