Sadly, it even made inroads into the software development side of things. Luckily I do not have to deal with npm shit, but it looks like a prime example of it: https://bvisness.me/microlibraries/
But it's not JS only — it's everywhere: Python, Go… I'm probably in the minority still using PowerPC and 32-bit Intel machines, but this "let's de-prioritise support for obsolete architectures and support Apple Silicagel instead!" pisses me off immensely.

It's the dev's call of course, decide what they spend their time on, but other software which I might use depends on it — often on the latest version (which is frustrating in its own way) which is broken or buggy 80% of time.
