Techno-optimism is dead, Pajeets are largely to blame but it doesn't help matters that a good deal of CEOs think offering shitty new features that no one wants is a good strategy to corner their respective markets. People just want things to work at the end of the day, and lately they just haven't.

But it's not JS only — it's everywhere: Python, Go… I'm probably in the minority still using PowerPC and 32-bit Intel machines, but this "let's de-prioritise support for obsolete architectures and support Apple Silicagel instead!" pisses me off immensely.

It's the dev's call of course, decide what they spend their time on, but other software which I might use depends on it — often on the latest version (which is frustrating in its own way) which is broken or buggy 80% of time.
