SZBOX DS16 laptop thing update:
I've finally opened it up and... Damn! I was hoping to be able to upgrade the crappy wifi that it has, but it's soldered on the mainboard. Not the end of the world, since I can always install a better card in m.2 slot which this thing surprisingly has two of, but then, it's a dilemma: what do you need more, upgraded wifi or a second SSD.... 🤔

Doesn't look too bad on the inside TBH — much like my 2011 MacBook Pro.
What's wrong with the wireless card it has now, does it have an old chip and is just slow or is it something exotic with buggy drivers?
Damn, I've never seen these things soldered-in! I'm way behind the times when it comes to current hardware trends, and I'm pretty damn sure — there are way nastier surprises for me to discover 😅
@m0xee well, the device manager says it's realtek 8821ce so it shouldn't be very bad, but the best speed I was able to get on the thing was 80-ish Mbps, and that was like 3 meters from the AP. In normal use when I'd expect around 120-130 from my wifi it's only delivering 20-ish. It might be drivers tho... Guess I'll try to reinstall them ;)
