@kirby @m0xee Creating a new instance probably won't fix that. It will get fediblocked as "ban evading" or whatever. When I was starting this instance, I got instantly blocked by several instances for replying to SPC users. Once you get blocked, these people will almost never reevaluate their decision. Once you did something "bad", they will always remember that, even if you apologize for it.

Creating a sock account and talking to those people is probably a much better option.

@phnt @kirby @m0xee It's a crapshoot tbh, I had a previous instance fediblocked for being "disqordia adjacent" several times and made it onto oliphant and seirdy's lists, but almost nothing carried to this one (I'm not an owner here but I don't think it's visible from outside) and it's been months.

@affine @kirby @m0xee In general the fediblocking kinda slowed down from what I've seen. This instance now rarely gets blocked. Probably because I don't post that much hot takes as I used to and also that more Mastodon instances hide the blocklist.

Funnily enough this instance is no longer on the oliphant blocklist, because they dropped every tier other than 0.

If you subscribe to Fediblock alerts you will see amazing people who might ban the whole instance with reason "this looks suspicious" — it's the instance they with people from which they have never interacted personally, and none of their users have ever interacted — but they still spent time on exploring it to find a reason to ban, but have found none and decided to block nonetheless. Absolutely insane shit! 🤪
