I see some media clickbaiting with spectacular headlines like “Russia has sent 700,000 troops to Ukraine”.

Readers think, “Ooh no! 700,000 more troops!?!?”.

This is a non-story. The real headline should be “Putin claims, he already has 700,000 troops in Ukraine”, and the text should explain, that it is very hard to verify — even for Putin — if that number is correct.

Several videos recorded in Russia indicate, many of the dead Russian soldiers are never registered as having died.

They have just transitioned to a different branch of military. Undead troops are an indispensable combat arm when you're looking for a way to write off some expenses 😉
