@gemlog @albertcardona @m0xee yeah they aren't cheap, but the promise is better maintenance with more upgradable hardware than a typical laptop (potentially includong mainboards) so ideally you keep it until you die. Thats my hope anyway we'll see how it goes.

But CPU and chipset makers are cunning — they will ramp up further on miniaturisation and will make all main boards the size of calculator in the coming years so wind would be running through most of the space inside your laptop 🤪
Well, not that I'm against it — you can always "fill the void" with bigger battery 🤔
I really liked how in old ThinkPads you could install an additional battery in place of optical drive.
