@volpeon uh, yeah. ecoflow requires you activate the app with a cloud account. before it allows you to use the BLE controls.
@volpeon i actually nuked my order over this and bought an anker instead.
@volpeon motorized gimbals for cameras also largely require cloudfuck accounts for literally no reason. just to make you agree to their data scraping policies and other shit. also returned a DJI because of this. apparently even some/all of their cameras require web activation.

I really want to get myself one of those robot vacuum cleaners, but every time I realize what amount of work it is to root one and make it usable with something like Valetudo, I'm get like: "A-ah, fuck it!"
