#Transnistria, a breakaway part of #Moldova, prepares to announce its intention to join #Russia on 28 February. Putin is expected to approve this decision in 29 February, which would be yet another territorial annexation and escalation, this time practically on EU mainland.
If this doesn’t serve a wake up call for Western leaders to significantly increase military support for Ukraine, then I don’t know what will — annexation of East Berlin?

This might be that grand event to make the "re-election" look more or less legitimate. This means that taking Avdyivka wasn't considered enough even in the Kremlin — so this looks more like a desperate move to me.
