You can blame Disney and cartoons, but the concept portrayed in the comic is correct, Europeans and other countries like to pretend they live here and get emotionally invested in our affairs, plus, using second hand knowledge from faulty Zio-zogged media sources. It's quite a spectacle. I remember arguing with a guy from France about how racist and evil the south is when he's never been to America and I grew up in Mississippi. He thought I was lying to him when I said many cities in the south are literally ran by black people, black cops, black mayors, black government officials etc.

France at least had colonies and has black people, so it's at least somewhat relevant, unlike Eastern European countries (as per comic) that never had any and don't even have a lot of black people 🤣
It's just as fun as when leftie westerners theorize about how great USSR was, but people who were born in ex-commie countries know for sure that a lot of what they thing it was is just some made up shit.
