@furgar There was once a time where Arch was a passable distro. Then, post-systemd conversion, it had a successful push on /g/ and /tech/.
To an I’ve-been-using-Windows-up-to-202X person, using such a “difficult” version of linux makes them feel like they’re in that “blonde, brunette, redhead” scene from The Matrix; They’re real early on the Dunning-Kruger line, but want to virtue signal that they’re smart with what they think is a humblebrag.
SourceMage, Gentoo, LFS, Alpine, Void, Crux, and Guix SD users see no difference between Arch users and Fedora or Pop!_OS users. because dnf upgrade and pacman -Syu is literally the only difference between them. They’re all just systemd clones doing systemd bullshit, and learning a package manager isn’t rocket surgery.
Humorously, the Debian and Ubuntu cucks also like the “I Use Arch, BTW” meme because it allows the systemd distros to in-fight amongst themselves as if they’re the only game(s) in town. I support this, because it keeps all the absolutely fucking retarded end-users safe within their Microsoft-programmed view of both operating systems and brand/logo worship. It also means that government agencies train their agents to deal with those low-hanging fruit.
