In response to the popular “checking you’re not a robot” pop-up, I implemented a “checking you’re not a douchebag corporation” pop-up and now I can’t log in to anything.

@aral I'm more and more convinced that I'm a robot because I really struggle with Captchas these days. Maybe I just really don't know what a motorbike looks like.

@H4ND
I have a strict principle of never picking bicycles or motor cycles and a couple of times it cost me a few days of ban — not a HUGE problem as I'm on always on VPN and I can just switch to another exit point, but I'm often too lazy to do that as I have other things going on over network.
At times it gives me ONLY bikes — like on purpose, like 20 times in a row with no other options. Like ReCAPTCHA's mocking me 😂
@aral

@m0xee part of my frustration with it all is that we're just doing free labour; helping to train image recognition software.

I just keep clicking refresh until I get an easy one.

@H4ND
I remember in the early days when ReCAPTCHA was about OCR, you've had to enter two words and it was obvious which one was checked against, 4channers had a flashmob and entered the n-word as the one that was used for training. It's racist, but still very funny 😂

Yeah, I've been discussing this particular case with a friend just yesterday. The girl's Welsh what does she have to do with Black people? It was perfectly fine for her to not take the knee and yet, the victim kept confronting her first on social media and then in person. The court cleared her of racism charges in the end:
