@theorytoe True, client-side configuration is very sleek, but I've only used config generated by Proton, I wonder if making one for your own server is that easy too. Making those .ovpn wasn't even that hard TBH, but the only reason I'm still using OpenVPN is that the thing I use as VPN box is still running Linux 2.6 and there are no patches for that. There is an implementation in Go, but I'm not sure that it's going to be any better than OpenVPN.
