The next Chief of Muscovite (after Putin)

@don

I was going to say Kirill Kanakhin or Achmat Kadyrov, so I had to choose Lukashenko.

In all seriousness, I think Alexey Dumin (Dyumin? what are we using?) has the best cards.

@don So instead of disarming Vangers (whatever), they are bringing everyone else up to the same level armanents-wise. Sure, what can possibly go wrong? 🤣
And Zolotov's Russian National Guard isn't the same as National Guard in e.g. US, they are basically heavily armed riot cops.
@useless_idiot

@m0xee @useless_idiot I always thought that US National Guard are the heavy riot cops. Every big black people riot in US includes footage with their armored vehicles )

@don I might be wrong about that but I've always thought of US National Guard as having dual chain of command so they are somehow still local to the state they reside in. And of course they might get deployed to reinforce riot cops, but they are still primarily army reserves.
@useless_idiot

@don In Russia they don't report to governors in any way, they have the same centralized chain of command, they were reformed from what was known as Internal Troops when Putin started cracking down on street protests. They are exclusively used for crowd control, but are more on par with the army equipment-wise, I think they even have tanks, just not enough to stop the column that was moving towards Moscow this time.
@useless_idiot

@m0xee @useless_idiot They didn't have tanks before Prigozhin coup 🙂

Follow

@don You're right. They are fairly heavily armed, but no tanks: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_
They even have aircraft, luckily it's mostly transport. Who knows what new toys they will get🤪
